Combined DEA model, CRS assumption, two-stage process

Abstract

This paper proposes a combined DEA model for two-stage process. The proposed model minimizes the inputs of the first stage, maximizes intermediate measures when they are the outputs of the first stage, minimizes the inputs of the second stage and maximizes the outputs of the second stage, simultaneously. The advantages of the proposed model are presented and then a numerical example is given to compare our results with those in the literature.
