Abstract

In the present paper researcher with using of yearly data (1962-2011) and VAR method could analysis the existing relationships between import, export and economic growth. Based on research results export has direct & positive relationship with economic growth in long-term. Also import has a significant & inverse relationship with economic growth then import will has negative effect on economic growth in long-term. The other hand export was because of import & vice versa so between these two variables there is a mutual relationship and export, import are each other Granger causality. Also the another variable of import was the economic growth cause, but economic growth was not the import cause also according to Granger causality test, export variable is economic growth cause but economic growth cannot be export causes.
