Abstract
This article examines the terms \"production system\", \"cyber-physical system\" and \"cyber-physical production system\". The research is a scientific search for the similarities and differences between them.\nThrough systematic analysis and synthesis of the main content and structural characteristics of the terms \"production system\", \"cyber-physical system\" and \"cyber-physical production system\" their definitions are upgraded and refined.\nCriteria are highlighted according to which similarities and differences are synthesized, and through analysis similarities and differences are synthesized, conditioned by the definitions of the studied concepts.
