The purpose of this article is to discuss the relationship between current high-brightness white LED driving methods and temperature. Due to the different driving methods of high-brightness white LEDs, their temperature will also change differently. However, this temperature change also affects the life of high-brightness white LEDs. This study will discuss the best driving mode of white LED circuit in two ways of LM317 constant voltage and WS2801 pulse driving modes. It is found from experiments that the pulse driving mode has better characteristics in temperature control than the constant voltage mode.
One of the most important public health issues is antimicrobial resistance. Carduus getulus Pomel(family Asteraceae), known as hashroof by Egyptians, is wild annual plant. The present study aims to evaluate the antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of C. getulus collected from coastal desert. In the investigated plant, total phenolics, tannins, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, glucosides, and steroids were measured. The antioxidant activity was measured based on the reduction of DPPH. The IC50 values of the antioxidant inhibition of C. getuluswas 43.32 mg ml-1 compared to control. In this investigation, the methyl alcohol extract of C. getulus has a high broad spectrum (89 percent) of antibacterial activity against the microorganisms tested. The pathogen Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosaand Staphylococcus aureus(17.22, 16.33 and 16.18 mm, respectively) were the most sensitive bacteria. In conclusion, C. getulus extracts can be employed as natural antioxidant and antibacterial agents in pharmacotherapy, according to this study.
Different parameters are effective on Electro Explosive Fuses (EFF) operation. Because of these fuses applications in high voltage generators, their recognition and investigation are of great importance. In this paper, firstly, related equations of fuse length and cross sectional area in various parts are completely presented. Then, these fuses behavior is modeled in PSpice using obtained equations. Electrical conduction model is used for modeling. After that, to evaluate efficiency of presented model, it is simulated and the effects of different parameters such as fuse length, cross sectional area and pulse generator circuit parameters are investigated. Finally, results obtained from modeling and simulations prove the importance of these parameters effects on the EEF operation.

A multi-threshold design can be achieved by employing CNTs with different diameters, as the threshold voltage of the CNTFET depends on the diameter of the CNT. In this paper, this feature is exploited to design ternary logic circuits for achieving improved performance. We presented new design for Carbon Nanotube Field Effect Transistor (CNTFET) based ternary combinational circuits such as half adder, full adder, half subtractor, full subtractor and comparator using negation of literals technique. Extensive simulation results using Synopsis HSPICE simulator demonstrate that using new technique 5 to 29 times improvement in power delay product can be achieved with reduced gate count comparing to the existing ternary-binary combinational gate design.
In this study, various provinces of Iran were investigated in terms of economical indices and based on their economical development were ranked. The statistical analysis process of the data of this study is based on cluster analysis method and the results of provinces ranking were reflected in terms of development level of the investigated indices. The results of various provinces ranking in terms of development level and having the investigated indices showed that first, second and third rank were dedicated to Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Isfahan with high difference with other provinces and Qom, Ilam, Charmahalobakhtiari, Kohkiluye Buyerahmad, Sistan Baluchistan were in the final level. By determining the development level and its amount for each region, the improvement of the condition of undeveloped provinces in terms of resources and facilities is one the priority. Thus, better recognition of development of the provinces, we can know the weaknesses and strengths, abilities and their deficits and the success of regional planning.
Pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) is one of the marine and freshwater fish and it is a predator and carnivores. The fish is one of the commercial fishes and it is the people‘s diet who live near the Caspian Sea. The fish is at the top level of food chain and it feeds the other fishes and crustaceans. There are a lot of sources around the Caspian Sea that dump their waste in the rivers flowing in the Sea. Mercury chloride is one of the water pollutants which also exist in the waste of these sources, without being controlled are dumped in the rivers. Bio accumulation in the higher levels of food chains is more effective than the lower levels and the fish in the Caspian Sea is in the highest level. The impact of mercury chloride on the fingerlings of pikeperch was studied in 2008. The determination of the acute toxicity and bioaccumulation of mercuric chloride in pikeperch Juveniles weighting 1.5±0.5 grams. The fish were exposed to various chemical concentrations in water. The tests were done in 20 liter tanks each containing 20 fish. We carried out six treatments with three replications and a control for each of the chemicals using the static O.E.C.D. method, and investigate four days, through which the lethal concentration (LC5096h) were studied. During the test physiochemical parameters of water such as, pH, dissolved oxygen, total hardness and temperature were measured. The average pH was recorded as 8, total hardness 250 mg/lit, average water temperature was 25±1 degree centigrade and dissolved oxygen was 7.5±0.5 mg/lit. The result showed that LC5096h and LC5024h of mercury chloride (HgCl2) on pikeperch were 0.091 and 0.072 mg Hg/lit respectively. The bioaccumulation values during 24h in muscle tissue, kidney and gill were 1.72 , 17.8 and 24.6 mg Hg/lit respectively. The exposure of the values during 96h were 3.2, 18.1 and 28.2 mg Hg/lit in tissue, kidney and gill respectively. The bioconcentration values for muscle tissue, kidney and gill were higher than the ones in water. \n\nKey word: Pikeperch (sander lucioperca), LC50, HgCl2, Bioaccumulation.
This paper proposes a new design of low power UP/DOWN counter using carbon nanotube field effect transistors (CNTFETs) in 18nm technological node. The CNTFET is used for the UP/DOWN counter design. The UP-DOWN counter utilizes the T flip flops. The proposed design gives better performance interms of power consumption, speed, and power delay product, propagation delay when compared to the CMOS based design. Semiconducting Carbon nanotube (CNT) is used as channel and High k dielectric material is used as gate dielectric in CNTFET, this improves the over all performance of proposed design.
In this paper a new model for a wind generation system is introduced which includes induction machine, static synchronous compensator, excitation and load capacitors. Moreover, a new method is proposed for voltage control of a grid-connected squirrel cage induction generator. Unfortunately, induction generators require a flexible reactive power source beside them since under variable load conditions the output voltage cannot remain constant autonomously. In this paper, a compensator is used to control the reactive power and stabilize voltage fluctuations during a three-phase fault and generator isolation. Furthermore, a fuzzy controller is developed to ameliorate compensator\'s performance. Accordingly, simulations are carried out in MATLAB/Simulink environment to confirm the abilities of new control scheme.
