Abstract: Use of project management for IT spheres is needed for attaining a common vision of IT services and management in companies and organizations. Today in Kazakhstan there is an annual growing interest for IT-specialists having skills in project management methodology. In this regard the experience in application of international PMBOK ® PMI ® standards for training ICT master students is of a strategic importance.
The Information Age has made it integral for Information technology to be used in all aspects of our daily life. Organizations has benefited greatly from the use of information technology to achieve competitive advantage. Office automation which involves the use of information technology applications and tools to perform daily tasks at organizations has made it clear that it influences worker’s productivity. But to what degree the use of office automation improves the productivity of people in office operations depends on how and why it is used instead of focusing on the technology.\nA case study implemented at King Abdulaziz University library, shows the impact of the use of office automation on the productivity of people working at all organizational levels at the university library.\nThis case study focuses on the effects of office automation on the productivity of office workers at all organizational levels at King Abdulaziz university library. The results showed that office automation had a significant impact on workers’ productivity.
Abstract\n Medical School University Rijeka, Croatia has been practising the Bologna Process for almost ten years. The Bologna Process covers the curricula of the studies of medicine, sanitary engineers, laboratory engineers, radiology engineers, nursing as well as postgraduate studies. The paper’s objective is to show on the example of the course Occupational and Sports Medicine the results of such reform of high education. What are the students´ benefits of such education and what are the results for the community i.e. the patients who are to profit from the new system of educating medical personnel. The method of original schedule representation of Occupational and Sports medicine Course was used with calculated score list of possibly achieved scores. Some answers at the final oral exam are presented as well as examples of practical work with patients. The students pass the exam much easier than before but objectively their knowledge is poorer, both theoretically and in practical work with patients. It is necessary to insist permanently on improvement and development of our Bologna Process model. It includes more funds, employment of young teaching assistants and well equipped lecture rooms. Transfer and mobility of students within the ECTS system should become reality not just slogan. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nKey words: Bologna Process, occupational medicine lessons, students.
This study investigates the impact of clasp screw tightening torque on the bearing preload while a flank lock type precision locknut is assembled in the machine tool spindle and ball screw. The experimental study simulates the assembly type of precision spindle and ball screw to set up the experiment as vertical and horizontal assembly types. The experimental samples are selected from different nominal diameter of locknut, said M35, M40, M45 and M50, respectively, which are commercially available in the application. Thus, precision locknut characteristics can be completely established. The results can provide the manufacturer, such as precision locknut, ball screw, spindle system and other related agent, as reference to help them in product design and development. This also can provide clients as reference while performing design, analysis, manufacturing compensation.
Power system studies are required to explore the performance of electrical network, its elements, its control, protection, stability and reliability under normal and contingency conditions, under various expected operation scenarios. This paper presents detailed power system studies, load flow, short circuit, motor acceleration, overcurrent coordination and transient stability analysis of an industrial power system with cogeneration plant (ICP). The transient stability analysis of the ICP has been performed, by considering tie-line protection scheme, as the faults transpire at different locations in the system. By using transient stability analysis tie-line protection schemes and load shedding requirements are evaluated. The induction motor covers major portion of the industrial electrical loads. The performance of an induction motor is evaluate for frequency variation by simulating islanding and load shedding events. The electrical distribution system of an oil refinery having cogeneration is considered for study and simulated on Electrical Transient Analyser Program (ETAP) software.
The objective of the paper is to present the development of organic farming in the USA. Development of organic farming is closely linked with sustainable theory development aiming at economic, social and environmental goals. The aim of organic farming is to achieve goals with limited exploitation of natural resources. Equally important is production based on organic methods that do not use chemical fertilizers. We used the descriptive methods to analyze collected material. We have analyzed data from 2000 to 2010, mainly USDA data to analyze the state and development processes of organic farming in the USA. The collected data proves that ecological farming is expanding in the U.S. dynamically. Particularly big changes have been observed in certified organic acreages for fruits, milk cows and pastures. Moreover, the percentage of organic food in the total food market increased from 1.6% in 2000 to 4% in 2010. U.S. is a big exporter of organic commodities, with the highest percentage in 2011 for lettuce, apples and grapes.
